Got A Gig Rental Policy- Rent to Own


Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions:

  1. Rental Payment: I agree to pay GOT A GIG MUSIC two months’ rent in advance to cover the cost of the initial rental period. Rent is taxable. (NOTE: THIS RENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE). After the initial 2 month’s rent, I agree to pay rent during the first week of each month following. Please allow enough money on your credit card on file so they successfully process each month. It will be run during the first week of each month. The monthly rental fee is applied towards the purchase price of this instrument that we are renting only. No other instruments. This is a Rent To Own instrument.

  2. Late fee: Payments not received by the end of the first week each month will immediately incur a $20 late fee added to that monthly payment.

  3. Charges: I agree to become legally responsible for the safekeeping of said instrument. GOT A GIG MUSIC provides FREE maintenance for ordinary wear of said instrument for the first 12 months of this contract. After 12 months, the renter assumes responsibility for all repairs. Physical damage to the instrument or the case is the responsibility of the renter. DENTS ARE NOT COVERED. Please explain this to the player as dents quickly become expensive and can add up to half the cost or more of your instrument. For any damage beyond ordinary wear, renter will be required to pay repair charges. This will be added to your credit card that you used to make your monthly payments. All repairs MUST BE PERFORMED by GOT A GIG MUSIC, no exceptions. In the case of the loss or destruction of the instrument and/or included equipment, inability or failure to return items to Got A Gig Music for any reason whatsoever, you agree to pay Got A Gig Music the full replacement value of the items together with the full retail rate.

  4. Conditions: All rental instruments are in good condition and play well when rented. They come complete with necessary accessories that are returned at the end of your contract. I agree to keep it in excellent undamaged condition, less normal wear, as determined by GOT A GIG MUSIC, not the renter.

  5. Responsibilities: I (Renter) agree not to sell or mortgage the said instrument or remove it from the Greater Sacramento area. Full title and ownership of said instrument will remain with GOT A GIG MUSIC until the rental fees paid equal the full price of said instrument. If I decide to return said instrument, it must be returned to the store, not the school. I will bring this contract with me.

  6. Returns: All instruments must be returned to the GOT A GIG MUSIC store location during regular business hours and is to be returned in the same condition as when it was received by the renter. All returns must be examined for damage and any charges due to damage must be paid for at that time.

  7. Collections: If I should default on any payment, GOT A GIG MUSIC reserves the right to reclaim this instrument, and I agree to return said instrument upon request. In the event that I do not return the instrument or become 30 days delinquent in rental payments and or refuse to return Got A Gig Music’s phone calls, texts or e-mails, GOT A GIG MUSIC may reclaim and or repossess this instrument wherever found, and contact the teacher and Principal at your youngster’s school or elsewhere to retrieve it with or without the knowledge of the renter. I also agree to pay reasonable fees if this contract is referred to an attorney or collection agency. TO AVOID THIS – JUST RETURN IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE. Simple.

Automatic payments: By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorize GOT A GIG MUSIC to automatically charge your Credit and/or Debit Card for each monthly payment.

It is the renter’s responsibility to contact GOT A GIG MUSIC when there is a change in their charge card status. If you need to use another credit card you must contact us before the next charge is due.
